XIV Spanish Meeting on Computational Geometry

In honor of Ferran Hurtado's 60th Birthday

Introduction

During the Spanish Meeting on Computational Geometry, to be held in Alcalá de Henares (30 km away from Madrid, Spain), on June 27-30, 2011, we are celebrating Ferran Hurtado's 60th birthday.
In such a special occasion, the Meeting will have an international character, and we would be pleased to welcome all CG-community members interested in joining us in this event.
The Meeting will have a section for contributed papers, and further information for submission of papers is available here. The confirmed list of invited speakers can be checked at the invited speakers page. Scientific and local committees can be checked at the committees page.

Areas of interest

Authors are encouraged to submit works describing original research in Computational Geometry, in its broadest sense. Topics include, but are not limited to:

discrete and combinatorial geometry;
linear programming applied to geometric problems;
geometric algorithms and data structures;
theoretical foundations of computational geometry;
questions of interest in the implementation of geometric algorithms;
applications of computational geometry (computer graphics, virtual reality, robotics, simulation and visualization, solid modelling, CAD, pattern recognition, graph and circuits drawing, image processing, GIS, multimedia and animation, etc.);

Extended abstracts of all accepted papers will be published by the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica (CRM) in its series Documents and distributed among participants in the workshop. Furthermore, selected works will be invited to prepare a full version for publication in a special LNCS Festschrift volume. Information concerning submission guidelines is available here.

Important dates (all of them in 2011)

Deadline for submission: March 14th.
Notification of acceptance: April 15th.
Final version of extended abstract and invitation to the Festschrift: April 30th.
Early registration deadline: May 15th.
Meeting: June, 27-30.
